This Privacy Policy explains how CadreSports (the "Platform", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our multi-sport league and tournament platform. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your mobile phone number, which is used to create your account and sign you in.
• Profile information: your name, and optionally details such as your city, preferred sports, skill level, and team affiliations that you choose to provide.
• Activity data: your league and tournament registrations, team rosters, lineups, match participation, scores, and standings generated through your use of the Platform.
• Communications preferences: your consent to receive WhatsApp and other notifications.
• Technical data: basic device and usage information, and data stored on your device to keep you signed in and to support offline and installable (PWA) features.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and authenticate your account using OTP verification.
• To operate leagues and tournaments — including registrations, scheduling, lineups, scoring, and standings.
• To send service messages such as OTPs, match reminders, results, and registration confirmations.
• To display your name and participation in lineups, standings, and match results that are visible to other participants in the same league.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Platform.

3. OTP, WhatsApp, and SMS Communications

We use your phone number to deliver one-time passwords and service notifications via WhatsApp and/or SMS through third-party messaging providers. OTP and security messages are necessary to use the Platform. Where you have given consent, we may also send updates and reminders; you can adjust certain notification preferences in your profile.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With other participants: your name and match-related activity are visible to other players, captains, and operators within the leagues you join, as needed to run those competitions.
• With service providers: trusted vendors who help us operate the Platform, such as hosting, database, and messaging providers, who process data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Platform.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and enable offline and installable app features. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Competition records such as historical results and standings may be retained to preserve the integrity of past seasons.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent for certain communications. You can update much of your profile information directly in the app. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Deleting your account may remove your ability to participate in active leagues.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
